After more than a year of being hosted on a little Linux machine, the site has been transferred to a remote server. All remains the same with the exception of increased bandwidth and (unfortunately) response time.

Menu items are now dynamically generated images. Also, the server's old 8GB HDD is now used as a backup disk. A newer 40GB HDD now operates as the primary disk.

I upgraded the server OS from FC4 (Fedora Core) to FC5. I briefly tried Yahoo's web hosting service, which is a great idea if you don't like money or a good web site.

At last, I got a dedicated Linux machine running the server. But, I'm not going to run the server 24 hours a day just yet.

The server is now capable of operating continuously from a dynamic IP address. However, I have not yet assembled a dedicated server. So, the server will continue its intermittent life.

I added a workbench description page that users will be taken to when they click on the related menu text. If a user wishes to download a movie or program (for exmaple) from the menu, they should click on the appropriate floppy disk icon.

Well, I've come up with a new design that looks pretty good to me. It's simple and has a digital feel to it. I need to make sure it looks the same in Mozilla.

Website construction has begun! I thought a hand-written theme would add some character to this little site. Now, I'm thinking it might look too sloppy. I would like a black background, but it's hard to get those letters to look right as white. I could always revert to some clean futuristic design.
